Ryan F. Deasy, MD

Dr. Deasy received his Medical Degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Deasy was an intern at Riverside Methodist Hospital and completed his residency at Ohio State’s Havener Eye Institute. He completed his surgical and medical vitreoretinal fellowship at The Havener Eye Institute where he also participated in the education and training of residents.
After his fellowship training, he joined The Cleveland Clinic where he was a staff retina surgeon for 10 years. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.
He was a member of the Education Committee for The Cole Eye Ophthalmology Residency Program. He participated in the training of ophthalmology residents and surgical retina fellows.
Dr. Deasy has been an investigator in clinical trials for age related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease as well as a consultant to pharmaceutical companies developing novel treatments for retinal disease.
Dr. Deasy is certified by The American Board of Ophthalmology. He holds a professional membership with The American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Retinal Specialists, and The Ohio State Medical Association.
Dr. Deasy looks forward to meeting the specialized eye care needs of patients throughout central Ohio and will be seeing patients at our Neil Avenue, McNaughten, and Delaware locations.
