Alan J. Rehmar, MD

Dr. Rehmar graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1985.  After completing a medical internship at Riverside Hospital, he spent a year as a research fellow with Dr. William Havener, former chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology.  His research focused on macular degeneration.

Dr. Rehmar then completed a residency in ophthalmology at OSU and a fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous in Lexington, Kentucky.  His work as a fellow resulted in the publication of a paper on ocular histoplasmosis in Archives of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Rehmar started in practice in 1991 and continues to be involved in teaching medical students and residents at Ohio State and Grant Hospital.
