“Dr. Christiane Hunt joined The Retina Group after working for a time in Sandhills Region of North Carolina. Dr. Hunt attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University and did her internship and residency at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, OH. She completed her Vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the National Retina Institute in Baltimore, MD.
Her clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, vein occlusions, macular holes and epiretinal membranes, retinal tears and detachments. Her research has been published in the Retina Journal.
Dr. Hunt is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Surgeons and the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology.’
When not working, Dr. Hunt is involved in the lives of her three small children and is looking forward to resuming her mission work to help people overseas with no access to retina care.”
