Chirag C. Patel, MD

Dr. Patel received his undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. After completing an internship at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare/Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute/Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. After residency, Dr. Patel completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute/University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Patel has authored numerous peer reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. He has presented at national meetings and regularly lectures on topics related to vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. Dr. Patel is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
